Since an early age I have felt a need to make art, inspired by colour, texture and shape to create. Photographs, Life Drawing and the landscape around me, all supply me with images. By using a variety of materials and methods, I can allow the work to take its own shape and size. Materials include wire, textiles, paint, wood and objects such as buttons and beads. I often use colour in a translucent and layered manner, exploring the coming and going of Time, which is of interest to me. Playfulness and beauty working together with some sort of narrative, is what I am exploring.
